London Studio Centre students performing an extract of BUILT TO FEEL.

I create contemporary dance works. My choreography begins with improvisation and develops into set choreography through experimentation and play with the people I collaborate with.

I make work that aims to be funny, open and genuinely reflective of the people I live alongside. I’m interested in the ways movement can communicate the things I struggle to put into words: how I relate to others, the habits I create and inherit, the contradictions I carry, and the small moments that make me recognisably human.

Alongside making performance, I work as a movement director, teacher and researcher. I don't view these as separate practices.

I...

…create original contemporary dance works through collaborative choreographic processes.

…develop movement direction for theatre and interdisciplinary performance.

…research choreography through practice, using improvisation, writing, filmmaking, discussion and performance as creative methods.

…teach contemporary dance, choreography and improvisation within conservatoires, higher education and community settings.

…design learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and critical thinking through movement.

…facilitate workshops for dancers, actors, young people and diverse communities.

…deliver lectures and seminars on practice-as-research, choreography and contemporary performance.

…create performances that bring together dance, theatre, voice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

…produce and manage creative projects from initial concept through to public performance.

…develop budgets, fundraising strategies and partnerships to realise ambitious artistic projects.

…coordinate rehearsals, contracts, licensing, risk assessments and production logistics.

…lead outreach programmes and participatory projects involving schools and local communities.

…collaborate with theatres, conservatoires, artists and cultural organisations.

…research and documenting dance practice through writing, archiving and creative documentation.

…create research outputs including live performance, film, essays, podcasts, workshops and public discussion.

…engage with contemporary conversations across dance, philosophy, architecture, neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
